Galveston Vacation
We had a fun and relaxing time in Galveston. The coolest part of our ocean front condo was that the kids got to play on our patio and sleep in way cool bunk beds. The view from our room was awesome. We saw many types of sea birds and a lot of dolphins swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. They love to follow the fishing boats. We made sand castles and jumped over the waves, collected a ton of shells & driftwood, and went on a dolphin watch boat ride. It was great to see the kids experience the ocean for the first time.
We also went to Moody Gardens and went to the RainForest Pyramid and the Aquarium Pyramid. We learned that the mommy seahorse gives the daddy sea horse the eggs and he gets pregnant and carries the eggs in his belly until they are ready to hatch in 2 -4 weeks. We were also lucky enough to see two of the four sloths in the rain forest pyramid. One was just slothing around and the other decided to move to a new location while we were there. He gave us a great show, moving form one tree to the next each movement direct and methodical.
The best part of our trip was visiting the Galveston Island State Park and just simply being together.
