We planted our garden today! We planted tomatoes, zucchini, leaf lettuce, cilantro, marigolds and zinnia's. Then we mulched it with Pine Straw Mulch.
Many THANKS to Mike for working so hard over the past several weekends preparing the bed for us. Simply digging in our yard is treacherous. We have very thick grass (it's like a carpet), about 1 inch of soil and lots and lots of limestone. We've planted in a raised bed....and we used native limestone to enclose the bed. This is better than treated wood because no dangerous chemicals should leach in to our veggies.
