St. Patrick's Day News

.
We didn't see the rainbow but since it is St Patrick's Day and it rained and the sun was shining we decided to go out and listen for the hammering of the Leprechaun. We searched for these little men with our binoculars and our magnifying glasses.

We searched in the back yard and behind the fence in the park. Gramma Jan spotted the red socks first, then Emerson spotted a flash of green. Could it be... In an instant he was gone.

Our search continued. We heard hammering in the front yard. We rushed to the front to find our wearin' o the green fairie man.

Just then the noisy garbage truck zoomed past our house and in an instant there was a gleaming Pot of Gold in our bushes.

The Leprechaun must have been spooked and left it in our bushes for safe keeping. WOW!!! Was it HEAVY! Emerson did a real Irish Jig when he saw it and Annie jumped up and down for joy!

In other St. Paddy's Day News:

Gramma Jan and Great Gram came over for a real Irish Celebration. Wearing our decorated hats and crowns Gramma Jan and the kids made real Irish Soda Bread and we all enjoyed it along with our Flag of Ireland plates (Green, White and Orange) green olives, green pickles, green apple slices, an orange cheese clover, an orange clementine and white Soda Bread. THANKS Gramma Jan for preparing our St Patrick's Day celebration!
